The Boudoir Collective
I want you to toss out every idea of what you have been told or believe Boudoir is.
Boudoir isn’t defined by sexy, confidence, or lingerie.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Boudoir IS defined by the scared, lost woman.
The woman who lost who she was before she even had a chance to decide for herself who she was. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The woman who doesn’t know where to start understanding who she is. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Boudoir IS a sacred space for you to reveal your truest self, fully. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
A space free of judgement, expectations, fear, or anything that is a block from releasing your fullest expression of yourself. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This looks a lot different from woman to woman. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
For some, it’s fully exposed. Other, it’s being completely covered. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Boudoir isn’t defined by anything you thought it was. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Boudoir is defined by you. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
You have the power to decide what and who you are and how you want to be expressed.
Hi, I'm Shyla
The Boudoir Collective (TBC) was created because women all over the world struggle with self image, not having enough connection with people walking the same path as them, and not having enough supports by their side. TBC's purpose is to bring women of all different backgrounds together, to join in walking the same path to self love.
It's not my job as a photographer to discredit the way you feel about an area of your body. Instead, it is my job to support you in love and show you that it's okay to not like
“Anytime I saw a boudoir photoshoot I’d think “wow! Those are beautiful and sexy and confident but there’s no way I could do that”
And then my friend, Shyla started this collective. Full of inspiration. Body positivity. Empowerment. My thoughts shifted. Maybe I could do this?
My two besties signed up with me and as the days got closer the nerves got higher. What outfit? What poses? Will I look good enough?
Then the day arrives and let me tell you, it’s a day I’d relive over and over! Shyla creates an en”
ready to feel empowered?
I know this is a big decision to make. It's scary, vulnerable, and you probably have a ton more questions!
